Alison and I had our first Script Superheroes class today, and it never fails to amaze me how brilliant these kids are. On the first day of class we saw amazing characters, dramatic tension and cool structure models!
What an inspiration. At any rate, it's one of my favourite things to do: teach writing/creative stuff to kids. The one thing I keep running through my head is, "keep this fun" whatever I do... keep it fun. So often it seems that is a rule that we as extra curricular education providers sometimes forget and often need to remember.
Alison and I are ambassadors for writing! We have to be careful with that and how we present it to kids to ensure that their creative ideas get from brain to page with joy.
