One of the best parts of December was taking part in NBCUniversal’s “The Idea” contest. Management asked all people working for Comcast/ NBCUniversal to come up with an idea and pitch it, and from the 3000 applications they received, they chose 25 semi-finalists and my idea was one of them! What?!
We got to pitch in the Late Night with Seth Meyers Studio, in the style of a Shark Tank-eque pitch, and we had to keep it at 2 minutes. From there, 10 finalists were selected and my idea was one of those, so we did the pitch the next day to the presidents of Comcast/NBCUniversal which was an unforgettable experience.
While I didn’t win, it was so cool to up my pitch skills to the next level, and the people I met were incredible. It’s always so inspiring and joy-inducing to hear innovative ideas, and this was the perfect forum for it! Thanks to the amazing folks at the TalentLab at NBCUniversal for putting this on!
